PPILOW’s People: Alice Cartoni Mancinelli!

I’m Alice Cartoni Mancinelli, researcher in animal science. In 2019, I obtained my PhD at University of Perugia with a thesis entitled: “Adaptability and nutritional quality of poultry meat and egg in alternative systems: response to different genetic strains and management strategies”. My main expertise concerns the evaluation of poultry welfare and behaviour using innovative device, lipid metabolism and products quality. I’m also involved in studies aimed to assess the adaptability of chicken genotypes to different husbandry systems such as free range, organic and agroforestry. In PPILOW project, I managed the experimental trials by caring out the productive performance, behaviour and welfare measurements.
