A specific PPILOW YouTube channel has been set up to disseminate activities and key project outcomes.

1. Current PPILOW experiments for improving poultry welfare!

PPILOW project has realized a video to present the first experiments carried out by some partners. The video highlights the concept of “welfare” in extensive poultry systems and has provided with subtitles in the following languages:  English, French, Italian, Dutch and German! 2. Electricity generation in dual use with agricolture – that’s how it can work!

Dual purpose poultry genotypes are an alternative to culling of day-old male chicks of layer lines! As part of the PPILOW project, three newly developed dual purpose genotypes are tested under organic conditions. Both male and female birds were raised and evaluated for performance characteristics, animal welfare and behaviour. The project was presented by Thuenen at the organic field days 2022 in Germany. 3. Vangaard’s presentation video!

Vanggaard Staldmontage ApS is a small Danish company with more than 25 years of experience in setting up stable equipment, feed systems, water, silos etc. within the conventional pig sector. In summer/autumn 2016, Vanggaard was contacted by a young organic farmer who wanted to develop a farrowing wagon for outdoor pig production. Watch the video to know more!

4. SlowFood video: One welfare for animals, for the environment and people!
