Communication and Dissemination

Communication and Dissemination measures will be tailored to the different targets: production chain actors from farmers to consumers (including breeders, farmer associations, hatcheries, providers, processors, retailers…), citizens, scientists and policy makers.

These measures aim to:

• Inform the scientific community (including students) about the project progress, findings, and promote innovative techniques to improve poultry and pigs welfare;
• Engage and reach more production chain actors to increase knowledge and application of solutions developed in PPILOW to improve and assess welfare of poultry and pigs reared in organic and low-input outdoor production systems;
• Raise awareness of the general public about new solutions to improve animal welfare and the benefits of more sustainable agricultural practices;
• Provide recommendations for evidence-based policy making consistent with environmental, social and economic considerations raised in the PPILOW project.
