PPILOW’s People: Lisa Baldinger!

Lisa Baldinger is a senior resarcher at Thuenen Institiute and works on organic poultry and pig production. Her chicken projects revolve around the topics of 100% organic feeding, dual-purpose genotypes and the use of pastures with wood structures for chicken. In PPILOW, she is involved in the testing of dual-purpose genotypes as an alternative to the culling of day-old male layer chicks, both on-station and on-farm, and in the facilitation of the German national practitioner group. Outside of PPILOW, she is also involved in pig projects focusing on feeding and animal welfare.
