PPILOW’s People: Mohamad Isam Almadani!
I’m Mohamad Isam Almadani, Agricultural Economist at Thünen Institute of Farm Economics, Braunschweig, Germany. My research interests focus on farm comparative analysis, modelling and benchmarking regarding livestock production systems worldwide (beef, sheep, dairy and poultry). Within PPILOW project, my contributions are mainly related to economic assessment tasks for poultry production. In this context, I contribute to set up advanced economic model for broilers production systems to evaluate the economic viability of the welfare improvement solutions identified with the multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA). Moreover, I investigate how such solutions could influence the whole broiler production chain by developing an advanced business model.
