Director of the USAMV Cluj-Napoca team partner in the PPILOW project-“Poultry and Pig Low-input and Organic Production Systems’ Welfare”.

The USAMV team will contribute to Task 6.3 in the PPILOW project namely, they will study the effect of plants and plants extracts on pigs in order to limit parasitic and bacterial infection pressure in organic and low-input free range farming. Like all the other partners,USAMV will also contribute to WP1 (to gather all information available about solutions for improving the welfare of pigs and select potential levers to test), WP2 (to facilitate the pig NPG in Romania) and WP8 (to disseminate the project outcomes).

USAMV Cluj-Napoca is classified as one of the universities offering “advanced research and education”. The USAMV partnership in FP6, FP7, H2020 projects focused on better outcomes in agriculture, new animal breeds, animal welfare and protection, environment protection, antimicrobials and their rational use.
